Birding the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, Bayonne, New Jersey

Sometimes my job, which is for a New Jersey-wide labor union, requires me to meet in Bayonne, across the Hudson River, which at that point is indistinguishable from New York Harbor, from Staten Island. This often means that I end up with an hour or so to kill in Bayonne. As you can imagine traffic can be a nightmare.

We headed north to the George Washington Bridge, west across New Jersey, west and then north through Pennsylvania, and back into New York at Binghamton where we turned west once again. The long drive back to New York was filled by more lousy, incidental eBird checklists, more fast food, and more road kill.
