Itchy bumps after contacting stray cat

Reddit Animals

I found a stray kitten on Friday night and was playing with it. My husband told me to not touch it, but I’ve held stay cats/dogs before and nothing has ever happened (yes he told me “I told you so”…I don’t need for you to tell me this too). Is this just cat scratch disease or could this be something worse?

I need help regarding a possible bite from a stray.

Reddit Animals

There were 2 seeming "strays"(I am not sure both seemed quite well fed and groomed but they stayed in the smoke zone of the restaurant) pups which I begun petting because in my country, there is little to no stray dogs. So my group stopped at a nearby restaurant in Romania to eat something.

Wanted advice regarding this behaviour

Reddit Animals

Stray kittens disappeared Hi all So like a week ago a family of 5 cats randomly appeared outside my society, they looked like they had been dumped because one of them had a good collar on and the moms fur was too good to be stray. At night around 10pm I heard dogs barking and a lot of mewing, but I couldn't do anything.

Thought experiment

Reddit Animals

In my opinion dogs would be the first to go. Although I love dogs they're too dependent on humans, it's true that stray/feral dogs can form packs and survive in the wild a regular dog like a golden retriever would get eaten by a lion instantly. Cats would be the next.

How do I help this Sparrow

Reddit Animals

Found what seems to be a fledgling sparrow, and I know you aren’t meant to move them, however the place it was at happened to be where my dog is and where stray cats seem to sneak through. We do decided to continue this way, bringing the box in at night incase of cats, but hopefully a mother bird will take it.

Hurting animals and repenting later.

Reddit Animals

Has anyone, as a child, ever hurt animals like pelting stray cats and dogs with stones? And once the deed is done you start repenting your vile act. I used to do this when I was a kid. But now, I would give my life to protect them. Have done a bit of rescue volunteering in the past.
