The (Re)Veganizing of the Greyhounds

Animal Person

I would never say that vegans have an obligation to veganize their dogs or cats. If they don't thrive on a diet without animals, then they should eat some animal products. I'm choosing to believe I willed it to happen because I just couldn't take buying all of those animal products. But that has changed, for some reason.

On Taxes, Veganism and "Pets"

Animal Person

Someone wrote me and, though the person clearly was trolling to insult someone, s/he accused me of not being a vegan because of greyhounds Violet Rays and Charles Hobson Booger, III (no mention of Emily, which made me feel terribly neglectful). who chooses not to take in animals because he respects them, and I agreed theoretically.

Lessons Learned From 4 Years of Animal Person, Part 2

Animal Person

Some of these discussions make me think: Boy, that Rick Berman, that FBI, those people who spend their lives using and killing animals for fun and profit--don't need to do much to bring this movement down because we're doing it ourselves. I think that a handful of years ago it was fun to use a different moniker (Animal Person, anyone?),

On the Vetsulin "Recall"

Animal Person

First let me say that there is no recall of Vetsulin (often used to manage the diabetes of dogs and cats) as of today. That if you have a diabetic dog or cat and you use Vetsulin, you have to be diligent. Every animal is different, so what I do with Violet won't be the ideal strategy for everyone. So what is it?
