On Taxes, Veganism and "Pets"

Animal Person

One of those is vet bills, which of course aren't deductible, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't know the total. I'm doing my best in an imperfect world to respect the rights of other sentients, and I have heard vegans say that sanctuaries--and not pet ownership--will be the only way out of subjugation for cats and dogs.

On the Vetsulin "Recall"

Animal Person

First let me say that there is no recall of Vetsulin (often used to manage the diabetes of dogs and cats) as of today. On Charles and Project Treadstone

Animal Person

Just in case you were wondering what an 85-lb red fawn greyhound looks like from the back with a couple dozen acupuncture needles in him. Smattering Sunday

Animal Person

Dr. Newest Vet sent this to me from yesterday's day at "camp" for Charles. Anyone have any luck walking a cat with a leash and harness? And then it proceeds to: "None of these questions, however, make any consideration of whether it is wrong to kill animals for human consumption." The problem is lack of activity.
