My mother recently passed and she has two cats and one of which was her baby is very adoptable. She’s an older cat. She’s been spayed and her front paws have been declawed (I know that’s not a normal thing now, but back in the day that was fairly normal for people to do that to their cats). She’s about 12 years old.

I have children at home and if either cat starts peeing/kitten starts spraying I’m not sure how this will play out. Thirdly, do some animals just never adjust to eachother? I have a few questions.
