There is a large family of frogs, Bufonidae, that includes most of the warty, hoppy creatures we think of as toads.

The first, Field Guide to the Birds of Trinidad & Tobago, was published by Christopher Helm in London in 2007 and then published in the United States in 2008 by Yale University Press. It is organized taxonomically, with families identified by first scientific and then popular name. Richard ffrench died in 2010 at the age of 80.

Firstly I would like to just do a little update on the Pied Oystercatcher family that were a large part of my life for the last few weeks of 2014. The adult Pied Oystercatchers were still at their non-breeding site at Gantheaume Point and will no doubt lay their first eggs for 2015 in the first week of July.
