Informed literature bears out my experience that most birds are seen singly or in pairs. Jochen Mar 7th, 2011 at 5:51 pm Redgannet, almost all song birds at least in North America (and the Orange Thrush sure won’t be the only old world bird to have them, too) have these filamental plumes on their nape.
