Tigers are an underrated big cat. I love all the big cats, ok? Lions hunt in prides. They don’t have to be ambush, precision hunters because there’s multiple of them. Tigers are solitary hunters. There, I said it. Listen, I love lions. I love leopards. I love cheetahs. But tigers get no respect. Blending in?

Their impressive speed is used for hunting, and roadrunners will eat almost anything that moves. Car collisions, feral cats, and run-ins with hunters also cause problems, even for this speed-racer. Not so much, as the above photo demonstrates.

However it is now one of the world’s rarest animals after decades of relentless hunting and poaching. They are distributed from the southern tip of Africa (still occurring in the suburbs of Cape Town!)
