It brings mammals, and frogs in profusion, and reptiles, and insects. We toured the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre after dark, and we did it by foot in a group that was just my family and a guide. This can also be a curse, as I have spent many nights wandering around seeing precisely nothing. Or nothing big at least. So many insects.

Of those traits, there are two kinds: The ones that are bird-like, but are not shared between birds and other animals because of a common ancestor having had the trait. That’s what Archaeopteryx is. Flight is an example.
