They manage a number of reserves around the UK to protect waterfowl, the most famous being Slimbridge (another iconic place I haven’t made it to yet).

My agenda is to help to make the Ross Sea an international marine protected area. I studied them for 20 years, published one paper and half a dozen blogs about them, talked to the media more times than I can remember and helped the state Institute for Protection of Nature to draft a protection proposal, which went to the City Assembly.
