What an incredible experience. Where the nearby military base has a pack of wolves on it. When a pair of walkers with a dog came down the path, however, it paused to look them over. The dog barked, and the bear picked up the pace as it headed away from us, finally disappearing into the grasses around the bend. It’s pretty great.

Seeing a wild Snow Leopard is every wildlife enthusiast’s dream, probably the ultimate and most elusive wildlife experience on the planet. Knowing this, we were certainly far from disappointed by our experience but we of course all dreamed of a closer view. Wolves can be encountered anywhere in the park.

The park also has Cheetahs and Painted Wolves (and while I didn’t see the later, they are fairly reliable). But I think it should be on the list of anyone that wants a knockout experience to share with non-birders. I stayed with Mosetlha Bush Camp and would highly recommend them for a unique bush experience. Or Cheetahs.

I new him because we enlisted his Dryfus Lion and one of his tigers to carry out experiments with bones (this is something archaeologists do). Dogs are similarly dispersed across size ranges, with Foxes, Coyotes, and Wolves taking prey across different parts of the size range. That was one of his cats.
