The law of diminishing returns brings the inevitability of repeat sightings and has checked the momentum of the combined beats’ list for June. Despite recording 370 species during the month, the list total has advanced by just 45. Just to confuse things a little, only 14 new species were recorded since June 1 st. 22 May 2016.

In June, the 2018-2019 Federal Duck Stamp was released. Birders have been encouraged by the American Birding Association and others to buy Federal Duck Stamps. Not long ago, I posted a list of the 25 best National Wildlife Refuges for birding. Duck Stamps and import duty contributions were similar, at about $34-38 million each.
