My selfish goal was to render this bird in the perfect pose, in pristine plumage, making the most of the little light (ideal conditions for me), and showcase an endangered species in all its finest regalia. Reason to return, definitely. Initially I was disappointed, I must admit. These were juveniles.

I'm definitely open to feedback. Tags: conservation seattle woodland park zoo elephants endangered species. On the other hand, Friends of Woodland Park Zoo Elephants says they are not well-treated and should be in a sanctuary. I used to think they were better than many.
