Well, I think the grenade metaphor also applies to conversion to veganism. There is often lag time between the critical mass event and its accompanying decision to go vegan--and the the actual doing: being a vegan. There's intention, then the becoming, then the vegan. What does this mean? And I don't judge him.

Alicia Silverstone was on the show as a spokesperson for the health benefits and other benefits of veganism. Alicia (laughing): Well, I'd have to see the cows and the chickens. And a similar pouncing has come from some vegans.

And then I read THE CHINA STUDY and was shocked to learn how unhealthy the Standard American Diet is--even cow's milk, which I thought I should be having three servings of per day! Now, I don't want to do anything extreme, like go vegan. And I don't think vegans believe in God, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't believe in God.

Where Does Entertainment Begin and End?

Free Speech may be a noble ideal, but perhaps we are better served by thinking of it not only as a right but also as a privilege. They certainly depict cruelty to animals, right? And is video of a cow being pummeled to death with a bat worse than a cow being "processed" in a slaughterhouse? What do you think?

On "The Wild"

The problem with that statement is it's not as if farmers are searching "the wild" for cows, pigs, chicken and fish, plucking them from their homes, and plopping them on a farm to live out their (shortened) lives prior to slaughter. The choice isn't the wild or the farm. Yes, that's true. Besides, we have choices.
