Awesome Birding at Aripo Savannah

The lush pastures of the Aripo Livestock Station sustained herds of happy Buffalypso , a special breed of T&T beef cattle named for their Water Buffalo heritage and Calypso-happy country. Where we entered the area, the savannah seemed more like Aripo Ranch. In fact, it was. In that regard, Aripo was amazing.

Crows, Ravens, Clark’s Nutcrackers, White-crowned Sparrows and assorted waterfowl were all still present, but that was about it. Where else but in Wyoming will you find Peacocks and a Buffalo together? Of course, there were plenty of big game around, and so I will post a few of those shots at the end of this posting.
