Initially, I wasn’t that excited about seeing mammals. The Big Five–lion, leopard, African buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros–are impressive, but my heart lies with the patterned mammals, giraffes and zebras. We also got great views of a very small mammal, Wahlberg’s Epauletted Fruit Bat, at Satara.
