Several Black Skimmers rested their over-sized candy corn beaks on the ground, and more than a hundred Black-bellied Plovers were molting into that striking pied Arctic breeding finery. As expected, there were a good number of birds on the berms, maybe not as many as the best of occasions but still enough to make it interesting.
