My Big Year is such a succession of new experiences that there is simply no time to think of other things. I’ve had so many incredible experiences. I exchange my heavy, clumsy poncho for a light rain jacket.

Red-capped Plover chicks

We moved back and waited to observe the adult female move towards the chicks and then the careful procedure of hiding and protecting them under her wings. Red-capped Plover protecting her young. Bathing at the Poo Ponds

Reportedly, the Water Thick-knee sometimes locates its nest close to the nest of Nile crocodiles as this offers some protection. Among the findings: “Canary traders, mostly with primary education level (63.25%) and Muslim (97.5%), were on average 44 years old and an average experience of 27 years. USD) net profit per month.”

This remarkable area is best know for its huge wall that was used for centuries to protect the city from invasion, but for me, the Conwy RSPB refuge was fantastic.

A close encounter with a Wedge-tailed Eagle

The Blue-tongued Lizard that was also having the same experience was definitely not as excited and was trying its hardest to protect itself. On Wednesday this week we had a very close encounter with a Wedge-tailed Eagle on the edge of the road.
