Sacramento River National Wildlife Refuge : Expand big game hunting. The refuge is already open to migratory bird hunting, upland game hunting, and sport fishing. It provides shelter for many songbirds and water-associated animals, including the river otter, turtles, beaver, American pelicans, ospreys, and migratory songbirds.

I found out on my second day in Mkuze, a great game reserve in South Africa, earlier this year when on my first dark night, poor visibility, uneven ground and unsteady footing resulted in a twisted ankle and a day in camp keeping weight off it. I wasn’t going to be seeing a Cheetah on my ass back at camp! Blue Waxbill.

Not only is it a lot of fun, but the $10 entry fee supports Open Door Animal Sanctuary! Registration, check-in and all the events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Attracting more than 8,000 pets and 80,000 people each year, the Beggin’ Pet Parade is one of the largest pet parades in the country. The parade starts at 1 p.m.
