I decided to rescue a dog in desperate need, and planned on finding a home for it after my road trip was over. I have never had a bond this strong with anyone, animal or person. I just watched episode 1, season 1, of Dogtown , the National Geographic Channel TV show about Dogtown at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, UT. I remember posting last summer about an abused pit bull mother who was euthanized by our animal shelter for being food-aggressive. We really enjoyed it.
