Somewhere below that mysterious eagle, at the far shore of the lake, lies one Bengal Tiger … and further to the right – two more! He has earned his tip.

We admired the Bison in the frozen fields and saw a juvenile Golden Eagle which was both beautiful and a lifer for my hosts. All bird and animal pictures are Brad’s. After a pleasant morning with ducks, crisp snow and sunshine, we followed the wildlife trail on our way out. We stopped at Rosie’s Diner. I can recommend it.

For 9 months of the year, this great, bellowing herd can be found in the Serengeti and watching the long lines of grunting wildebeest moving across the plains is truly a remarkable experience. It’s a great place to look for roosting raptors including Bateleur , Martial Eagle and numerous species of vulture.
