Best Bird of the Weekend (Second of November 2013)

10,000 Birds

Little geese are awesome, at least when you find them. I visited Hamlin Beach in search of an errant Ross’s Goose mixed in with Canadas but found only Snow Geese. Corey’s Best Bird of the Weekend was a self-found Cackling Goose at Baisley Pond Park in Queens. I also encountered lots of Snow Buntings. How about you?

Another big change in twenty two years is the presence of distant wind farms in the North Sea as in the above photo.
