I added the “discovering&# bit, because while I could find a Mealy’s Parrot nest with relative ease and felt at home in a good few bird communities, I had absolutely no idea about European birds. So, I have now been living in the Alps for about 4 years.

Birding the Rainforest Canopy

Parrots, macaws, parakeets, toucans, aracaries, cotingas, most tanagers jacamars and hummingbirds are largely restricted to the forest canopy.
