[Help] My dog got neutered about a week ago and is really uncomfortable.

My 7mo sheepadoodle mini puppy is recovering from being neutered on Monday. The vet suggested hydrogen peroxide washes once it's been a few days but I don't like using that because it can kill some of the healthy cells as well, I've always been told not to put H.P. I feel bad for him. I feel bad for the guy.
