Although I love dogs they're too dependent on humans, it's true that stray/feral dogs can form packs and survive in the wild a regular dog like a golden retriever would get eaten by a lion instantly. They are much more independent and still behave similarly to wild cats they are still pets and rely on humans to survive.

I've noticed that self destructive actions in other animals like cats, dogs, horses, birds, etc. seems to mostly if not only occur when they're with humans as a pet or being captive. So what are some examples of self destructive tendencies of other animals in the wild?

Mosquitoes bite humans and animals with no regard to species, and they bring along a number of illnesses. I’ve rescued field mice to horses, and everything in between. I look at the photo, and am enraged by how cruel and callous human beings can be. I look at these birds, and am enraged by how cruel and callous human beings can be. I’m allergic to cats, but in my lifetime I’ve rescued five of them.
