Sacramento River National Wildlife Refuge : Expand big game hunting. The refuge is already open to migratory bird hunting, upland game hunting, and sport fishing. It provides shelter for many songbirds and water-associated animals, including the river otter, turtles, beaver, American pelicans, ospreys, and migratory songbirds.

Finally, South Africa has three 400+ hotspots, namely 1 Mkhuze Game Reserve 458 sp. Due to its range of habitats, over 500 species (573 eBirded so far) have been recorded and it is often possible to see over 100 species in a day, including a good selection of pelicans, storks, waders, ducks, kingfishers and hornbills.

Brown Pelican – This is a bird that will just take some luck while I am staring at the ocean. Either way, the odds of actually getting a Brown Pelican in Queens are pretty low. Because it is much more interesting to predict the birds that will get me to my 300th Queens bird I will break from my tradition and predict my next eleven birds this time unlike the last three times I played this game and predicted my next ten. Brown Pelican - I refuse to acknowledge the unlikeliness of my finding one.

Brown Pelican and Brandt’s Cormorant roost here and can be seen flying in and out all day. Low tide reveals a small beach which may attract Marbled Godwit who were playing sanderling games in the gently advancing water during this most recent visit. In the foreground are the ruins of a once grand lido, known as Sutro Baths.
