At first I thought of a possible road accident, but soon I learned that protesting farmers have blocked the road ahead. Pied Avocet by Boris Okanovic Next we find ourselves at the famous fish farm in the village of Sakule. Protest indeed! There’s an incoming car in my lane, and I am not in India!

The grazers are glorified farm animals, but they have been labelled by some very irresponsible people as “wild”. The animals themselves identified as “civilised” and started a hunger strike in protest. Actually, no, they just starved to death for lack of care. It was awful. Nowadays, the numbers are being controlled through culling.

PETA was labeled a "security threat group" in April 2005, and by July police were looking into a tip that the group had learned about a failing chicken farm in Kent County and planned on "protesting or stealing the chickens."
