But is it safe?

Yes, statistics show that there is a high level of violence in Mexico, but all of our experience suggests that this violence is almost entirely between rival criminal elements. I’m sure this rule is as true in Borneo, Colombia, central Africa, or even Central Park, as it is in Mexico. I have never seen a gun fired here.

This bird, of the Turdus family, can be found on the western slopes of Ecuador and Colombia. This was a very interesting experience with quick breaths, speeding heartbeats, and a few tense moments of not being able to photograph the bird due to fog.
