Above them, on limestone cliffs, Alpine Swift and Crag Martin breed. Raptors to look for in this reserve are Golden Eagle and Short-toed Snake Eagle , European Honey-buzzard and Peregrine Falcon. The commonest owls are Eurasian Scops Owl and Tawny Owl , while rare ones include Ural Owl and Eurasian Eagle Owl.

She also monitors Pied Oystercatchers breeding along a 23km stretch of beach by bicycle and on foot. Wicked, right? She is actively involved in fieldwork and maintaining the database.

Black Stork and three pairs of White-tailed Eagles breed here. Common Kingfisher , Common Hoopoe and the European Bee-eater come from their nesting holes at the high loess-bluff of the opposite, right bank of the river. In some years, Spanish Sparrows were reported breeding inside White Storks nests in Sakule.

Ohio has tracked two families of their state-endangered breeding sandhill cranes and found them to have wintered over in Tennessee in 2010. Isn’t that neat?

I wonder what Americans would think if, in a Wikipedia entry, a Bald Eagle would be illustrated using a photo taken at an Albanian zoo. There was a breeding pair at Binjiang Forest Park this June. What could be plainer than the Eurasian Tree Sparrow ? But I am grumbling a little bit about it. Not going for the obvious either.
