This way, you can easily look up images and videos of the many fantastic birds described.

In another of these strenuous links to something rather irrelevant that this blog hopefully is not famous for yet, there is a great song by Frank Turner, “A wave across a bay” About Scott Hutchison, singer of the band Frightened Rabbit who committed suicide at a bay in Scotland. Smith was basically a massive jerk.

The book hastens to assure us that “we may safely assume that it referred only to bright plumage” While larger, the White-eared Honeyeater seems to follow a somewhat similar color scheme. In terms of movement, Noisy Miners are the avian equivalent of couch potatoes.

Quintas das Arcas: Bicudo Vinho Verde (2017)

Tolkien’s The Hobbit , the cantankerous Tawny Owl ( Strix aluco ) Old Brown from the Peter Rabbit tales by Beatrix Potter, and Kehaar, a Black-headed Gull ( Chroicocephalus ridibundus ) who was one of the few non-leporine characters in Watership Down by Richard Adams. Of course, hoopoes do exist, though I’ve yet to see a real one myself.
