Like a "BBQ, pony rides and a petting zoo!" When I started thinking about trying to get the association to cancel the pony rides and petting zoo (which are often part of one business as a quick Google search of " traveling petting zoo " will demonstrate), my several-year vegan husband said, "What's the use? What would you do?

The treatment of the animals at the Woodbridge, NJ SeaQuest is horrific. This was the same for many other of the animals there: potbelly pigs, a sad otter, rabbits, chickens and Bengal cats. A jury in West Haverstraw deliberated less than two hours before convicting Robert Everle of all 13 charges of torturing, injuring and starving animals. And people wonder why I'm so disappointed by humans.

There are the endemics, which are odd in their own way, and then there introduced species, which are so varied in their type and origin that you get the feeling you’ve arrived at the aftermath of a small zoo that escaped. People have moved useful plants and animals around with them as long as they had the wit to do so.
