Today I’m exploring a couple questions that have been bouncing in my head for a while…I’d love to hear your thoughts…I’m not calling into question animal rights, just the focus of the movement. – The Great Ornithologist Felonious Jive Animal rights. This makes perfect sense.

They all went extinct since 1500 and they are only eight of the nearly two hundred species that have blinked out since then. What right do we have to even exist when our very existence as humanity is what has caused a rate of extinction not seen except during cataclysmic events? The eight species above still exist. Drink coffee?

The days for me to add to my Little Big Years species count are getting fewer and fewer, and with it, my budget. Right after getting the anchor set, what to my eyes should I see, but several P urple Martins flying above the boat! Right after a couple of quick photos, it was gone, off to more secluded locations.

“Indigenous pig sows?…Sure, …Sure, we got lots of ‘em javelina and wild hogs too” But I explained to him that I was a hunter of a different kind and that I was looking for tiny owls and not wild pigs. Right at the lodge. He was gesturing like a madman. “Schmoking Ponies!”

The Juni Rail is considered by some to be a sub-species of the wide-spread Black Rail seems. Cesar Zeballos (far right) and friends. Llamas and wild guinea pigs are also found here. The National Park is unusual because it offers very few facilities compared to most, but there is a sealed road right into the small car park and a shade shelter with a table and chairs and information about the park. There was evidence of the mussels that would be a source of food for many species in the receding water line.

The problem with that statement is it's not as if farmers are searching "the wild" for cows, pigs, chicken and fish, plucking them from their homes, and plopping them on a farm to live out their (shortened) lives prior to slaughter. I do not pass judgment on other species, whose motives I cannot comprehend. Yes, that's true.
