I can’t read a story about a pet or watch a video without going down the emotional sinkhole. It might not be a rainbow bridge incident but just some puppers/kittens fooling around their humans but I can’t go through the thing without welling up. Even the wholesome videos of pets in Reddit makes me cry.

Some time ago a neighborhood stray cat came to the yard to have her kittens. This little mama cat was super smart and found her way into the hot tub, and here are her little kittens snuggled up in a flower pot. We tried to find a rescue group to take the little family so they could hopefully find a loving home.

Please, if you are getting a puppy or kitten, consider rescuing from a rescue or shelter, or find a very reputable breeder. Sadly too many dogs sold in pet stores come from puppy mills like this one. Luckily Billy found a happy ending, sadly many puppy mill dogs aren’t as lucky.

Today’s Cute of the Day comes from a very unique animal rescue group. The group is called Second Acts , and though they don’t rescue animals themselves, they raise funds to help smaller rescue groups continue their good work for animals. Imagine all the rescue groups that would benefit from that.

Lorraine started with one tiny kitten when she moved into her home. The kitten Venus is an F4 Bengal meaning she’s four generations (F4) removed from the Asian Leopard Cat which is a small wild cat from Asia. Asian Leopards are about house cat sized and can breed with house cats giving a bit more wild animal to your domestic pet.
