It is an exhibition of human nature at its worst. Many hunters compound their cruelty by abandoning their dogs when they are no longer of use.

We are tired of our dogs being bloodied, broken, scarred, crippled, killed and thrown into garbage cans. The animals are forced to fight through beatings, starvation, being thrown at each other, being made to attack smaller animals thrown at them, and worse. We are tired of our Westchester community being shown on TV in such an ugly light.

Today's New York Times gives us Adam Shriver's Op-Ed " Not Grass-Fed, But at Least Pain-Free ," which presents its dilemma at the end: If we cannot avoid factory farms altogether, the least we can do is eliminate the unpleasantness of pain in the animals that must live and die on them.
