Dead Sea Lions in Puget Sound - Again

The bodies of seven sea lions with bullet wounds were recently found on the Nisqually River. The animal protection group Seal Sitters says a necropsy showed that the sea lion had suffered a shark bite and had twisted intestines in addition to a bullet wound. Investigators say they do not know who is responsible.

Maine’s Great Black Hawk – Rescued!

A small group created a semicircle around a bare tree branch, brandishing some of the largest, longest camera lenses I’ve ever seen. While the group I stood with was calm and kept a safe distance, I heard other stories about idiots climbing the tree to try to take a picture with a cell phone, or chasing the bird when it alighted.
