Following the devastating tornado that ravaged Joplin, Missouri, American Humane Association has mobilized its famed Red Star Animal Emergency Services™ team to help the animal victims there. The Red Star team will also be assisting at the Emergency Animal Shelter.

Approximately 300 others include those being boarded by families temporarily displaced and animals not yet ready for adoption, such as newborns and injured animals. In addition, the Missouri Emergency Response Service team will conduct large animal rescue demonstrations, and there will be food, music and other family-friendly activities.

As our hardcore group of birding attendees- will dwindle at some point, other groups perhaps more interested in the actors or a segment of more family oriented viewers will then take over from us. so… since I am from the state of Missouri: Show Me. The Little Missouri National Grassland in western North Dakota covers over 1 million acres and is the largest grassland in the United States. We need to create bridges (and a very happy experience with a local ranching family led us to believe that this is possible). back to the birds.
