You will not find the Australian Wood Duck in the HBW, as they prefer the name Maned Duck for it. The Australasian Figbird is a member of the Oriole family despite not being yellow. Indeed, it seems Australian members of the oriole family are not fond of yellow, as demonstrated by this Olive-backed Oriole. Female below.

Many birds around the world in the Robin family ( Turdidae ) are favorites due to their musical songs. The quail, guans, ducks and pheasant are hunted for their meat. On top of being illegal to capture and sell birds in the country, it is also immoral. In some parts of the country it is already illegal to have slingshots.

It’s illegal to raise wild birds (even orphaned ones) without state and federal permits. The first few years for female ducks and geese are kind of practice rounds.
