The post Red-collared Lorikeet rescue appeared first on 10,000 Birds. Hopefully it would recover and had another of its species nearby. We put the branch back in the lagoon in the original position for the other birds and left them to enjoy the precious water.

Lots of people have died in the wildfires in Australia, and I'm sure a lot of animals have suffered too. This critter was lucky, and was rescued. David) Tree, a volunteer with the Country Fire Authority Victoria, has visited Sam since her rescue and was delighted to see she had found a boyfriend in Bob.

The SPCA, LothnianÃs Animal Rescue and Rehoming Center have taken custody of the animal and are providing it with care. An animal shelter or animal rescue center are good options. Australia is its natural habitat so letting it roam free in your neighborhood can be deadly to the animal and scary to other residents.

We have rescued a chick before that was caught in a fast moving incoming tide and although chicks can swim to a certain extent it only seemed right to move it to higher ground. Once the eggs hatch out there will be two very small Red-capped Plover chicks that will venture onto the beach. It was soon back with its parents.

I could rescue them all if there were not so many! Shorebirds feeding on Cable Beach Great Knot feeding on Cable Beach The rough seas have also brought in huge numbers of jellyfish and the sea has been quite thick with them. Apparently the sea temperature is now 26c (79f) and they are washing in and soon drying out on the hot sand.
