I get one called The Wildlife Professional for the Wildlife Society, that’s put out for wildlife technicians who work in the field. And the weapons don’t stop there.

Emerging birding destinations: Serbia

You may have read about Kikinda in the Wall Street Journal or the BBC Wildlife Magazine. These are overgrown in steppe grasses and local sheep herders are subsidised by the authorities to bring their animals here to keep the grass short, prevent succession by bushes and manage the habitat. Great Bustard Sanctuary.

I greatly enjoyed reading these articles on diverse topics such as suet, nyjer seed, the development of humming-bird feeders, rarities at feeders, wild bird feeding in Latin America and the Caribbean, and, importantly, “funding for birds and wildlife.” It’s about packaging, marketing, distribution, transportation, and lobbying.

In 2018, I read an article in Birding magazine by Jeff R. Although the class focused “on birds, students also pick up some botany, geology, hydrology, forestry, fisheries, meteorology, and wildlife management,” students also learned “the names, habits, and importance of local animals and plants.”
