When we're outside, a large alligator will swim across the pond up to edge of my yard and watch us. Is this aggressive behavior or curious behavior from the alligator? Our backyard is on a pond and we have a fenced yard. It will even move from one end of the yard to the other when the dogs are favoring one side of our yard.

Rivers,Swamps,Lakes) I still have no idea why there couldn't be alligators in our water? I'm fishing a lot, and recently I was sitting half inside the water thinking to myself that ppl in Florida can't just do that. They got giagantic reptiles in the same kinda water. there's pretty cold winter's and still gators.

Sharks in the water may be a given in some places; alligators too. But in New York City, they’re not thought of as common, which is why it was such a shock when an alligator was found and saved from a lake in Brooklyn last month.

I know that there are certain animals like frogs, capybaras, alligators, beavers and turtles that live on both land and water. If any of these animals were put into a place where they had access only to drinking water, but no body of water to swim in, does this jeopardize their ability to survive?
