Since I’ve moved here last year I have had 5 cats fixed and found homes for 9 kittens. Early yesterday morning I hear a kitten crying I look everywhere I then see on next door neighbor porch a kitten in a live trap screaming. I was like ok maybe they wanna adopt one idk. Well the night rolls through kitten still in there.

We are excited to tell you about Animal Protective Association’s Harmony House for Cats new eco-friendly, net-zero cat shelter in Chicago! New volunteers, supporters and adopters are always welcome. The grand opening for the new shelter will be on Sunday, July 8 from 2-6 pm at 2914 N Elston. It is free and open to the public.

Sasha, adopted at approximately nine months old, has taken roughly thirteen years to trust humans enough to be stroked while she’s standing on the floor. My second favorite rescue story is that of Hunter, a beagle-ish dog that my daughter and son-in-law adopted from a shelter in Massachusetts.
