Tragically Beautiful?

Seeing that it was actively hunting and operating like an otherwise normal Green Heron , I opted to photograph it, research it and possibly return and continue observing the bird. Rest assured – I attended an oiled bird workshop some years ago so at least I have some idea of how to clean an oiled bird! But no luck.
