Rabbit Meadows is a rescue group out of Seattle. As the name suggests, they rescue rabbits, but they also rescue other small animals like ferrets, and other small rodents. They also have a huge vision and mission for their sanctuary! Over 1,000 rescued rabbits have roamed the 4.5

In an act of kindness, the police took the dog, which was a Greyhound female, to the nearby Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, run by a man named Geoff Grewcock and known as a willing haven for Animals abandoned, orphaned or otherwise in need. But she is like that with all of our animals, even the rabbits. And one roe deer fawn.

This means that once an animal arrives at the sanctuary they become a permanent resident, and will remain until such time that they pass away, be that a matter of days, weeks, months or years. To date we have welcomed more than 175 animals to the sanctuary, and there have been more than 80 who have peacefully passed away while in our care.&#.

Sepilok is a spotlighter’s dream, and our hotel organised a trip for us with a warden from the Orangutan Sanctuary. We heard, but didn’t see, a Brown Wood-ow l, and best of all a massive cat-sized Red Giant Flying Squirrel and a rabbit-sized Sunda Stink-badger. Things took a jump in excitement when we set out after dark.

It was advisable to remove them at night, to keep them calm, to establish immediately a feeding board on which they would be fed chopped beef and egg to start, then fresh birds, rabbit or squirrel. Except for the falconer’s jesses and bell, they were to be allowed freedom to pursue life in the wild, life with minimal human contact.
