Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve: the Tiger Afternoon

Feral Cats Are An Invasive Species in North America (and elsewhere)

As she continued her monologue about these cats, the Wildcat cautiously walked in our direction, never taking its eyes off of us, stiff-legged, ears motionless, striped like a standard “tiger” domestic cat but entirely in grays. I once knew a guy who kept and raised cats. He also had tigers, cougars, and some other animals.

Kerkini in Winter

Last year, in November, I notched up a dozen species of butterflies, an impressive total anywhere in Europe so late in the year. One year we found an impressively big calidus Peregrine, feeding on a Wigeon that it had killed. A Kerkini mini-tiger Disappointingly, mammal encounters are few, other than the odd Roe Deer.
