It was inevitable that Birds and Booze would one day get around to reviewing Grey Goose, the popular and high-profile brand of premium French vodka that comes in an attractive bottle adorned with frosty white silhouettes of geese in flight. In other words, some claim that the makers of Grey Goose are trying to turn their geese into swans.

Pinkfooted Geese in North Norfolk – winter visitors from Iceland My British list is, in fact, merely an East Anglian list, as I haven’t (so far) ventured out of the counties of Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex. I haven’t, for example, seen a Bewick’s Swan, though I have encountered a number of Whoopers, their bigger cousins.

At least Barnacle Geese are named for an arthropod. We have exactly two posts tagged with either “ Greater Scaup ” or “ Lesser Scaup.” Scaup are so boring that they might be named for a regional term for a place where mollusks live. How lousy does a duck have to be to be named for a mollusk?

He uses geese killing at a fictional university as a comedic subplot. Tags: animal cruelty books. Has anyone ever read Richard Russo's book "Straight Man?" I've googled this and can't find a single critique of the book that mentions that he is making a joke out of animal cruelty. It's not funny at all.
