The Bearded Vulture looks surprisingly like the Night King in “Game of Thrones” Probably not a coincidence. Not in a zoo but in the wild, despite the fence in the background. Good for animals, of course – particularly some shy mammals. A juvenile nearby. No nice blue flowers. Moupin Pika. Gazelle, maybe Goitered ?

Legendary game show host Bob Barker says it will cost $200,000 to move three elephants from the Toronto Zoo to a California sanctuary, and he doesn't mind paying for it himself. There were no mammals, little game, and not many birds either. In many ways, that is exactly what happened.

My post last week where I defended game hunting as a conservation tool has, unaccountably, encountered a certain amount of push back. Who would have thought that a post defending hunting game in general would have not been universally acclaimed? Perhaps it would be better to move the tigers to that bigger reserve, or maybe a zoo.
