In some ways the the flowering of the antelopes as an evolutionary group mirrors our own story, as they benefited and spread widely as the world’s forests gave way to savannah and plains, just like humans.

There were no mammals, little game, and not many birds either. But man cannot live on bread alone, and the homesick settlers wanted more than just game.

All we do as vegans is take a reality--the reality of the sentience of cats, dogs, horses, chickens, sheep, cows, etc. We have a tendency as a society to anthropomorphize our animals, especially our pets.
