The 10-year-old Boa was pregnant and had been raised by McAdam since it was a baby. Reptiles that are not treated ethically simply do not make good pets. You can dislike something and still recognize the ethical significance of that animal. The Boa was still alive & in pain 20 minutes after they crushed its skull.
