Week four: We wrap up our stay in the US.

The end of this rather long road trip finds us here in Puyallup, Washington which is just south of Seattle. We pulled into the RV park next to the Washington State Fairgrounds on Saturday afternoon, and it promptly started snowing! It seems like the farther the north we go, the colder, and wetter, and a whole lot snowier it gets!

Twitching a Gray Kingbird in New York

We headed north to the George Washington Bridge, west across New Jersey, west and then north through Pennsylvania, and back into New York at Binghamton where we turned west once again. Conesus Inlet State Wildlife Management Area is a beautiful place with the sun shining down from between fluffy white clouds in a gorgeous blue sky.

Before my trip to Washington the only species of puffin I had ever seen in the wild was the puffin of the Atlantic Ocean, the appropriately named Atlantic Puffin. Having flown to Washington State on a family vacation the first obstacle was easily out of the way, which you knew already if you ever read this blog. I love puffins.
