When I reached the levee earlier that morning, I met an elderly hunter from whom I learned that there was an ongoing duck and pheasant hunt, but no one was shooting from, nor towards the embankment, hence I should be safe there. The only wildcat I found was illegally killed by hunters during closed season.

In a recent case involving my own facility, an immature bald eagle was hit by a car. People passed the eagle often. Lead remains in both fishing and hunting products, with strong lobbies that insist lead poisoning is not real, even as our facilities fill regularly with birds afflicted with it.

Somewhere below that mysterious eagle, at the far shore of the lake, lies one Bengal Tiger … and further to the right – two more! He has earned his tip.

For a split-second I was considering the white morph of the Booted Eagle … while noticing that they do not have long stork necks and that they were… Egyptian Vultures! Neighbouring (FYRO) Macedonia nowadays has about 20 pairs, while two decades ago they had 135! Reasons for this situation are numerous.
